NURS12145 Aged Care Nursing
Course description
This course explores the theory and practice of nursing elderly within a multi-cultural society. Students will develop understanding of the influences on aged care in Australia. This course will assist students in the development of the ability to plan, deliver and evaluate client centred nursing care to meet the health needs of older persons in a variety of settings. Students will develop skills that will enable them to undertake wound management, continence management and management of enteral nutrition. Students may be required to undertake up to 24 days of supervised clinical practice as a component of the course. It is a requirement of this course to have access to the CQU website and Internet.
