MUSC12396 Studies in Form: Country Music 2

Course description

This course contains selected studies in the structure of contemporary popular music from the twentieth century (ca 1900 to the 1950). Particular attention is given to the study and anlaysis of primary source materials relating to the musical forms relevant to this period. This course is of importance in its relationship to all practical areas within the Bacehlor of Music program as it provides a theoretical and historical basis for the study of musical forms.
