Course description

With the approval of the Dean of Faculty and/or Head of School, and subject to the availability of an appropriate supervisor, a student may complete one term of study under the close guidance of a lecturer/supervisor in an area of Marketing of particular interest to the student, or of special relevance to the student's employment. Topics must be approved by the supervisor. Course requirements will be negotiated to meet the learning needs of individual students, but will generally require the preparation and presentation of a project report or portfolio. Prior to commencing work on the selected Special Topic each student will meet with the allocated supervisor to formulate an academic contract. This contract will specify the nature of the Special Topic, individualised learning objectives, and how the attainment of these will be assessed.
