MMST12009 Dynamic Web Interfaces
Course description
This course helps experienced Web designers to take their skills even further by building database-driven Web sites that present dynamically generated content. Discover how to rapidly construct and deploy sophisticated Web applications such as e-commerce sites with Macromedia ColdFusion. Use principles of entity-relationship modelling and normalisation to design business-ready databases, and then implement them with Microsoft Access. Create dynamic Web interfaces for searching, retrieving, adding and updating database records with the Structured Query Language (SQL) and ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML). NOTE: Access to a computer running Windows 95 or later with an Internet connection, audio capabilities and a CD-RW drive is a requirement for this course.
