MMST12004 Multimedia Design

Course description

This course provides an introduction to creating offline multimedia applications for CD, DVD or kiosk presentations with Macromedia Director. Learn how to incorporate text, images, audio, video and animation content into a single coherent multimedia presentation. Explore multimedia design issues and techniques such as scoping a project, organising information, designing user interfaces, designing navigation systems, storyboarding, building prototypes and planning the production process. Become acquainted with contemporary theories of communication that are relevant to the design of multimedia software. NOTE: Access to a computer with an Internet connection, audio capabilities and a CD-RW drive is a requirement for this course.
