MGMT19121 E-Commerce for Purchasing
Course description
The course is an introduction to e-commerce with a particular emphasis on its application in supply chain management. Basic principles of e-commerce will be covered with particular reference to the possibilities and opportunities that e-commerce presents to the purchasing process. Note that the impacts on the quality of purchasing processes will be discussed. The aim is to ensure that purchasing staff can fully utilise the latest developments in e-commerce to improve procurement outcomes. The role of e-commerce and the requirements to develop purchasing processes using e-commerce will be detailed.
