MGMT19120 Advanced Procurement and Supply Management

Course description

This course extends the study of procurement and supply to topics which are more difficult and more complex. It deals with the issues of procurement and supply management, which are like to be confronted in larger organisations which have signifiant purchasing and materials management activities. These will often be manufacturing organisations, however purchasing staff in all large organisations require the skills and knowledge developed here. This is a technical specialist course which expands on the topics introduced in earlier courses and introduces specialist areas of procurement and supply. This course should not be attempted before completing Procurement and Supply Management. It is desirable (but not essential) that other courses such as Supply Chain Storage and Distribution, and Negotiation and Contract Management be completed before this course.
