Course description
The aim of this course is to introduce discrete mathematics and its applications in Mathematical modelling and computer science. Topics covered are induction, recursion, sums, integer functions and number theory, special numbers (Sterling, Eulerian, Harmonic), introduction to generating functions, discrete probability and hashing, digraphs, discrete modelling, symptotics.
