Course description
This course is an introduction to the theory and practice of television news broadcasting. The course covers research, scriptwriting, interviewing, location and studio production techniques, as well as post-production processes of editing, compilation and presentation. While focused around the role of the journalist/producer, the course will enable students to develop all-round skills through the actual production of a range of broadcast formats and styles, including news, current affairs, panel talk shows and documentary programs.
