HRMT20021 Global HRM
Course description
While the entire HR field has experienced tremendous change in the past decade, nowhere has this change been more profound than in global human resource management. The days are gone when HR professionals needed to be concerned only with domestic regulations, strategies and practices. The global economy affects us all, no matter the size of the organisation. Globalisation is the defining political and economic force in the world today. It requires new ways of thinking and responding. For HR professionals, recognising and understanding this phenomenon is fast becoming a job requirement. This course focuses on skill development and mastery of the necessary knowledge to be successful in this worldwide marketplace, especially in the areas of global staffing, development and benefit compensation. The course also prepares students to undertake the external accrediation examination offered by the Society of Human Resources Management (in America) for the certification of the GPHR qualification.
