HRMT20006 Human Resources Management in the Asia Pacific

Course description

This course will examine the various external business and cultural influences and environments in the Asia Pacific region to demonstrate the differing HR policies and practices in those economies, the economic underpinning of these labour markets and how the HR responses to the national labour markets have become institutionalised. The economic, business, labour market and HRM environments of Australia, PRC, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Philipines, Vietnam and Laos will be covered as well as the development of a model for examining cross-cultural approaches to HRM.
