HRMT19014 Human Resources Planning, Recruitment & Selection

Course description

This course is designed to dovetail with Performance Management. In this course students will develop a working understanding of the role of human resource planning, within the corporate planning processes, and the ability to successfully identify future staffing requirements. To this extent they will learn to prepare and implement skill inventories, human resource audits and succession plans, as well as develop the ability to use computer applications in the preparation of human resource plans. In addition students will learn the theoretical frameworks and methodologies used in recruitment and selection. Particular emphasis will be placed on the `tests' used in the selection of personnel.
