FARM20003 Improving Sustainable Agricultural Production
Course description
This course will apply a systems approach to ecosystems management theory and practice, witha particular emphasis on sustainable grazing practices, water use efficiency and the importance of biodiversity. Climate and risk management, property management, catchment management, landcare and downstream and off-farm impacts will be studied, along with the principles of integrated pest management. Additional skills acquired will include networking and working in groups. An important feature of this course is that it will be developed and delivered in consultation with Nulloo Yumbah, Place of Indigenous Learning and Research, CQU.
