EVST20010 Water Management (Cu15)
Course description
This course will introduce hydrology and the physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics of waters, and introduce and discuss the significance of major pollutants. Water quality criteria, both chemical and microbiological, will be discussed. The study of hydrology includes such issues as the hydrological cycle, measurement of rainfall and run-off, making predictions and estimating risks based on meteorological and hydrological data, and principles underlying construction of control systems such as retention ponds.
