EVST13014 Aquatic Systems
Course description
An introduction to the study of aquatic biology and ecology with emphasis on freshwater systems (excluding their microbiology). After completing this course the student should have a preliminary understanding of Australian freshwater systems and their community and ecosystems dynamics. Management of freshwater systems is considered in relation to anthropogenic influences upon these systems. Fieldwork centres on those skills and techniques necessary for studying aquatic systems.
