ENTM13011 Materials Handling
Course description
On successful completion of this course, students should be able to: give an introduction to the concepts of Bulk Materials Handling; understand the concept of bulk materials; outline a technique to obtain the flow properties of bulk materials; provide a technique to select hopper geometry for mass-flow hoppers; use Australian Standards to determine loads on storage bins for bulk solids; explain a procedure to evaluate the power and tension requirements for belt conveyors.
