ENTM13009 Industrial Fluid Power

Course description

This course aims to develop in students a working knowledge of the principles and applications of fluid power in industry. In this course, students will study various fluid elements and calculations associated with fluid power circuit design. On satisfactory completion of this course, students will be able to: discuss the latest technology and applications in fluid power devices and systems; describe the principle of operation and application of a range of hydraulic components; and circuits. Content includes: definition of fluid power, Pascal's Law, hydraulic fluids properties; hydraulic and pneumatic systems; symbols; and types of hydraulic circuits.
