Course description
The overall aim of this course is to: understand the mechanics of deformation of engineering components and the concepts of stress and strain; be able to mathematically model elastically deformed machine components; apply sound design principles to the sizing and shape of machine components; understand the mechanics of machinery; apply modelling techniques to a wide range of components.
