ENTI13006 Advanced Physical Science
Course description
This course is intended as a prerequisite for the third year BET units Non-Destructive Testing, Optical Instrumentation, Acoustics and Vibrations. It is a core course for the Instrumentation Stream. It is also useful for BET students who will be proceeding to professional engineering studies through the BE programs. It augments the material studied in ENTA 11005 Engineering Science and ENTA 11009 Engineering Principles, and treats some topics in a more quantitative manner and to a level compatible with the core competencies for Engineering Technologists and Professional Engineers. Additional modules may be made available for students in other streams at a later date. Emphasis throughout will be on application to real-life technological problems.
