ENEC14012 Water Engineering

Course description

This unit provides students with a basic understanding of two fields of water engineering: Water supply and Wastewater engineering and Coastal engineering. The course covers fundamental knowledge of design and practical applications in these two fields. Water supply and wastewater engineering are concerned with collection and distribution systems for water for various uses, and systems for treatment and dispersion of waste water after use. Coastal engineering concerns the design of coastal structures for harbour development, prevention of beach erosion, offshore facilities, and similar uses.
