ENEC12005 Geotechnics I
Course description
This course consists of two parts. Part 1 provides a basic knowledge and understanding of Engineering Geology so that students may be able to interpret geological information from various sources in a way meaningful to their other program courses and later careers. Part 2 begins the process of providing Civil Engineers with a theoretical and practical knowledge of Geomechanics. The aim is that at the end of the program students will be reasonably able to perform those duties related to Geomechanics that might typicallly be expected of them in the workplace.
