EDHE20004 Contemporary Framings of University Educucation: Diversity & Difference

Course description

This course explores a range of theoretical perspectives dealing with issues of culture and difference in order to highlight diverse ways in which students may be either excluded and devalued or included and valued within educational practices. This understanding will serve as the basis from which students can critically evaluate a range of educational traditions, and their own practices as educators. This knowledge base will then support them as they develop educational strategies which include and value students from a diverse range of cultural and social backgrounds.
