EDFE11013 Professional Practice IV
Course description
This is a compulsory component of initial teacher preparation. Professional Practice IV will be offered by distance education. The school based placement is to be preceded by consultation with the supervising teacher. During this time students will be expected to sample a variety of teaching duties. Emphasis is on planning, individualising instruction, on assessing pupil learning activities and integrating learning experiences across the curriculum. At the conclusion of the professional practice, students should be judged capable of undertaking all the professional tasks required of teachers at the beginning of their careers.
