Course description

This course focuses on the composition and scope of the Creative Industries including fine arts, museums and galleries, broadcasting, film, television, fashion design, graphic design, web design, theatre, music, publishing, and the production of events. Features of the Creative Industries are analysed with reference to new knowledge production, creativity, innovation, massification, globalisation, and the global reach of the Creative Arts. The course aims to provide a solid reference base for the Arts Administrator concerning the scope and features of the Creative Industries, to develop critical and creative thinking appropriate for the attainment of the Masters degree, and to apply that thinking to the resolution of complex problems concerning the role of the Creative Industries in the global context. .
