EDED20447 Media Relations in Arts Administration
Course description
This course provides students with a critical appreciation of how and why Arts Administrators employ media relation for film and television, design, new media, and/or performance/events industries. The course involves analysis and evaluation of contemporary media relations with particular reference to public perception, image management and community relations.
The course aims to provide a solid reference base in media relations for the Arts Administrator, to develop critical and creative thinking appropriate for the attainment of the Masters degree, and to apply that thinking to the resolution of complex problems concerning the role of media relations in the Creative Industries
