Course description
This course attempts to uncover the hierarchical and integrated structures of mathematics, by viewing the recurring themes and thinking processes inherent in the structure of mathematics itself. Basic mathematical structures covered in P-10 school mathematics are examined, including mathematical thinking, numeration systems, set and number theory, graphs and graphing, patterns and problem solving.
