EDEC14018 Contemp Perspectives on Literacy in Early Child
Course description
In this course, students will explore how young children acquire literacy skills both in the context of the home and in various early childhood education settings. Students will also be encouraged to critically examine strategies and practices used to support the development of literacy. The embeddedness of literacy experiences in play will be examined. In addition, students will examine the contemporary challenges influencing practice in an early childhood context.
