EDEC13026 International Perspectivesin Early Childhood

Course description

This course will focus on International Perspectives in Early Childhood Education. It will explore contemporary practices in Early Childhood Education internationally, which have been drawing considerate worldwide attention. In particular the practices in Northern Italy and several Scandinavian countries will be explored as well as the development of higher level qualifications throughout parts of Asia. The course will focus on the development of a critical perspective with a view to developing a reflective model for enriching practice in the Australian context. The course is comprised of three modules. One and two are compulsory. Students have an option of taking stream A or B in module three.
