EDCU11013 Health and Physical Education Curriculum and Pedagogy
Course description
The aim of this course is to introduce and provide opportunities for teachers to develop their teaching competencies in Health and Physical Education. Specifically students will: further develop their understanding of children?s growth and development; examine the content of the Queensland Health and Physical Education Curriculum; develop their understanding of planning and organisational considerations; study methods and resources used in syllabus implementation; and investigate assessment and evaluation procedures appropriate to Health and Physical Education. In addition, students have the opportunity to examine contemporary developments in Health and Physical Education and a number of alternative approaches to teaching and learning.
