Course description
This course introduces students to images and texts as constituting meaning and identity through structure, aesthetic style, and effect. Through an analysis of a range of contemporary cultural forms, including film, literature, art, advertising and other media, this course will provide students with the basic concepts and techniques of analysis for more advanced work in film, literary and cultural studies.
