COMM12033 Speech Communication

Course description

Since the earliest days of Greek democracy, the ability to speak clearly and present a case effectively and accurately has been a highly prized skill in many cultures. In recent years, with a return to oral media forms like television and radio, and a new emphasis on presentations in major organisations, the ability to entrance an audience is once again a valued skill. This course both unravels the various elements of speech communication so that a student can become conscious of the attributes that comprise effective communication and equips a student with those skills and attributes.
