COIT11166 Systems Analysis and Design

Course description

This course develops knowledge of basic systems analysis and design techniques including feasibility studies, fact-finding techniques, data and process modelling, broad systems design, project management and quality assurance. A range of development methods is presented, including both structured and object-oriented approaches. It includes the use of appropriate modelling techniques and software tools. The application of these methods to current systems such as Web Information Systems is considered. NOTE: Students must have access to the Internet, and project management software, such as MS Project.
