COIS11015 Introductory Computing Applications

Course description

This course provides an introduction to the use of computer tools in the workplace. The course starts with basic computer operations and communication using email and the Internet. It then covers the use of word processors, spreadsheets, Access databases, project management software, and basic computational techniques. It also introduces the student to software tools used in chemistry. This material prepares the student for use of these tools in the remainder of their program.
