Course description
This course is one of four within the Graduate Certificate in Science (Biology Stream). It provides an overview of the diversity and life histories of photosynthetic (bacterial, algal, Plant) and fungal life, and an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the 'higher plants', together with skills in research, including information retrieval, original critical thinking and report presentation. Empahsis throughout the course is placed upon a range of learning experiences intended to help students develop as independent learners.
