This course provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to produce audio content for a wide range of digital media. By providing students with a conceptual and historical overview of the relationship between technology, music and popular culture, the students will develop the analytical skills that will enable them to match audio content and production to the cultural specificities of a range of audiences. Access to a multimedia computer with an Internet connection, audio capabilities, a CD-ROM drive and a Zip drive is a requirement for this course. Students who enrol in this course are expected to have an understanding of the topics covered in COMM11005 Introduction to Communication & Culture or MMST12004 Multimedia Design.
