This course introduces students to the basic static power conversion principles. Part 1 examines fundamental converter types such as single and polyphase rectifiers, inverters, frequency changes and their principles of operation. Part 2 makes a more detailed examination of specific power electronic devices including switch mode power supply and industrial drives.
