This course introduces students to an examination of the roles of communication and cultural practices in the construction of communities. The course is organised around the principle of the 'circuit of culture', addressing themes of production, consumption, regulation, representation and identity as they relate to the construction of social, cultural, national, and global communities. Students will develop critical thinking and practical skills through exposure to a range of communication and media resources.
