TOUR20017 Tourism: Development, Practices & Impacts

Tourism involves a complex range of activities and is considered as a primary focus of economic growth and rejuvenation in contemporary societies. However, whilst tourism can generate economic activity, it also has accompanying socio-cultural and environmental impacts. This course examines the tourism industry from the standpoint of ecologically sustainable development and considers the various components of the tourism industry within this context as well as past, present and future issues and trends.
