TOUR20011 Sustainable Tourism Development (For Business and Law students)

This course investigates the concept of sustainability, and the role of sustainability in tourism development in industrialised and developing nations. Globalisation, dependency theory, the role of governments, community participation, lobby groups are examined as well as the relationship between sustainable tourism development and social, cultural, environmental and economic policy, planning and praxis.
