This course provides a historical overview of theories in cognitive psychology and focuses on research into human information processing including attention and awareness; memory and metamemory; reasoning, decision making and problem solving, concept formation and categorisation and language. Neurological models of cognition are considered as are a number of current controversies in the study of cognition. It is a requirement of enrolment that students have access to the CQU website via the Internet.
