Excellent opportunities exist for professionally trained practitioners and managers in the area of purchasing and materials management. Manufacturers, retailers, mining companies, government departments, in fact all organisations having a functional purchasing and/or materials management department, are seeking properly qualified staff. The degree is designed for those who are currently in a management position, wishing to be eligible for promotion to more senior levels in their organisation and/or those who wish to develop new skills and knowledge in logistics management.
The degree program in purchasing and materials management provides education for professionals working, or intending to work in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, who already hold an Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Materials Management, or its equivalent. It is available through CQUs Centre for Continuing Professional Education.
Upon admission to the course students must submit an application for block exemption equivalent to 16 courses. Students must include a certified copy of their Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Materials Management (AIPMM).
To satisfy the requirements for the award students must satisfy a program of 24 courses made up of 16 courses in the Advanced Diploma and the following 8 courses:
