The program is governed by the Rules for the degree of Doctor of Education which provide details regarding all aspects of admission, progression, submission and examination.
Consultation with the Associate Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Education & Creative Arts will assist applicants to determine eligibility for admission, to identify the proposed areas of research and to ascertain the availability of suitable supervisors.
The program will normally be undertaken by candidates through part-time study over 4 years (maximum 8 years) or full-time over 2 years (maximum 4 years).
Candidates will complete four research oriented tasks in consultation with their supervisor prior to submitting their research proposal. Candidates are also required to defend their research proposal to a Doctor of Education panel prior to progressing to the thesis component.
