Program Overview

This program is designed to give graduates, especially those employed or likely to be employed in the computing/information systems area, the opportunity to improve their management skills and upgrade their knowledge of computer-based information systems.

Program Structure (6 courses)

Program A is for students with an insufficient level of formal computing education. It offers articulation into the Master of Information Systems degree, with an advanced standing of 6 courses into that program. Students must complete:

Students who began the program prior to Autumn, 2000 will be allowed to graduate under the previous structure if they wish, or choose to graduate under the present structure.

Computer equipment resources

Students will require access to a computer and printer. Access to the Internet is also required for some courses.

The suggested minimum requirement is an IBM compatible computer. Hardware and software specifications change rapidly. Therefore, if buying a new computer, students should purchase the best quality and highest capacity they can afford.

CQU campuses have computers which may be accessed by students on a 24 hour basis.
