SREC19002 Special Needs in Recreation
This course adopts a general framework for the identification
and measurement of human needs for recreation. From this perspective
the course considers those individuals and groups in society who,
by virtue of their age, gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, physical
and/or mental condition, or environment, may require more
than normative provisions to be made in order to achieve satisfaction
of their recreation needs. As appropriate, students will be encouraged
to establish contact with community agencies and groups working
toward the satisfaction of special recreation needs.
