SOWK19015 Social Work Theory & Practice
II B
This course introduces students to social work
theories and knowledge on the process of change and its impact for
individuals, families, groups, organisations and communities. The
course explores the researcher/practitioner paradigm and
an understanding of the assessment process through time in all of
the above settings. The course integrates a focus on the impact of
rurality, social policy, social research and its application. Learning
in this course is linked directly with the Australian Association
of Social Worker's Code of Ethics and its translation into
action.
