MMST12009  Dynamic Web Interfaces

This course will provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to build database-driven Web sites that present dynamically generated content. The topics covered by this course include database use and design, the Structured Query Language (SQL), normalisation, and Web application development using ColdFusion. Practical work will be carried out using Microsoft Access, Allaire ColdFusion Express and Microsoft Personal Web Server. Access to a multimedia computer running Windows 95 or later with an Internet connection, audio capabilities and a CD-ROM drive is a requirement for this course. Students who enrol in this course are expected to have an understanding of the topics covered in MMST11002   Constructing Cyberspace (00102).
