HMSC11002 Psychosocial Foundations
of Health & Human Performance
The course introduces students to the Psychosocial Foundations
of Health & Human Performance. The course provides a broad
conceptual framework for the study of health and human performance
in modern society. Lectures will provide an introduction to the areas
of Psychology and Sociology in the context of sport, exercise, health
and human performance. The course will introduce the students to
the psychosocial elements of health, including physical fitness,
and their effects on human performance, ranging from sport to the
workplace. A lecture component will give an overview of each discipline.
It is a requirement of this course to have access to the CQU website
and Internet.
