ENMC13029 Industrial Fluid Power
This course aims to develop in students a working knowledge
of the principles and applications of fluid power in industry. In
this course, students will study various fluid elements and calculations
associated with fluid power circuit design. On satisfactory completion
of this course, students will be able to: discuss the latest technology
and applications in fluid power devices and systems; describe the
principle of operation and application of a range of hydraulic components;
and perform design calculations in fluid power systems and circuits.
Content includes: definition of fluid power, Pascal's Law,
hydraulic fluids properties; hydraulic and pneumatic systems; symbols;
and types of hydraulic circuits.
