ENMC13020  Thermofluid Engineering

Following on from Fluid Dynamics, this course aims to provide students with further understanding of engineering fluid mechanics and its application to fluid machinery. The course aims to develop: a good understanding about various types of fluid machinery, the theory of energy transfer between fluids and rotors, fundamental knowledge about pumps and turbines, fans and ducts, computational fluid dynamics, fluid models and solution techniques, the discretisation techniques to solve problems in fluid flow.
