EDCU12036  Teaching Science and Technology

The course provides an introduction to the Queensland syllabuses for science and technology and their application to Years 1 to 7. It explores the philosophies behind the syllabuses, notions of learning in science and technology, planning units of work based on science and technology as separate key learning areas as well as by using integration such as in Education Queensland’s new basics, and how to teach so that children achieve desired learning outcomes.
